The Colorado Avalanche hit the road for a quick one-game road trip up in Washington State against the Seattle Kraken. Tuesday night’s matchup is a 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs rematch between these two teams, which took place in the first round.
With the two teams in opposite positions in the standings, it shouldn’t have the same playoff feel and atmosphere. Nonetheless, Seattle will look to stop what is a white-hot Avs team.
Colorado Avalanche (23–2–7, 53 pts)
Colorado kept its winning ways alive, taking Saturday’s game 4–2 over fellow Central Division foe the Nashville Predators. It was the second-straight win for the team in the middle of a five-game point streak.
Saturday’s game was far from quick, and the Avalanche were far from their best. Even then, they still found a way to win, like they have done all season long.
Nathan MacKinnon still put up multiple points alongside Sam Girard. Cale Makar was one of five other players to record a point. He might have to face the boos because of some history between these two sides, but he looks to steer the Avs to yet another win.

Seattle Kraken (12–12–6, 30 pts)
Seattle comes into this game off the back of a rough outing against the Buffalo Sabres. They dropped this game at home to one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference, 3–1 on Sunday night.
It notched a second-straight loss in what has been a slow stretch for Seattle. They’ve won only two of their last 10 games, with a six-game losing streak in those 10 games.
Jordan Eberle leads scoring for the Kraken, with nine goals and 10 assists in 30 games. Defenseman Vince Dunn isn’t far behind with five goals and 13 assists in the same number of games. Nonetheless, Seattle will look to get things rolling in search of an upset win while missing a good handful of players to end this quick two-game home stand.
