The Colorado Avalanche and the Los Angeles Kings will meet on Tuesday night for Game Two of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Colorado took the first game 2–1 in an exciting matinee affair to open the series. Should the Avalanche secure victory Tuesday night, they’d gain a commanding two-game lead. Colorado is now up to a 79 percent chance to move on to the second-round over the Kings.

Colorado Avalanche (1–0–0)

The Avalanche let the Kings play their type of game in Game One of the series on Sunday. They appeared to be probing the Kings for vulnerabilities and plan to go all out on Tuesday. Forward Artturi Lehkonen broke open the scoring in the playoffs for the Avs with a gritty goal in the crease during the second period. The first period saw Logan O’Connor’s goal disallowed because of goaltender interference. He redeemed himself with the game-winning goal in the third period, thanks to his tenacious forecheck.

Los Angeles Kings (0–1–0)

The Kings struggled to find any rhythm against the Avalanche throughout the entire opening game on Sunday afternoon. They appeared to be a step behind the entire game, spending most of the game in their own zone. The one standout for the Kings had to be Anton Forsberg. He stopped 30 of 32 shots on net while standing up to several breakaways. The only goal for Los Angeles came late in the third on the power play from Artemi Panarin.
