On Thursday afternoon, the Colorado Eagles released their 2026–27 regular season schedule. After finishing last season with a 41–20–6–5 record, the Eagles will look to continue their trend of making the playoffs. Colorado made the AHL Western Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history, and the team lost in Game Seven. Their opponent, the Chicago Wolves (CAR), lost to the Toronto Marlies (TOR) in five games. Unfortunately, there will be no rematch this season with the Wolves this season.

Highlights

The highlights of the schedule will include games against Milwaukee. These games could feature the return of fan favorites Jack Ahcan and Chase Bradley to Blue Arena. The games against the Griffins will be a test for the new coach and the fresh-looking Eagles. Grand Rapids finished second in the AHL last season with 107 points and won the Western Conference. San Jose will also feature the return of fan favorites Alex Barre-Boulet, Tye Felhaber, and Kyle Keyser. Ontario, who is always a fantastic matchup, will wear brand new uniforms to match their affiliate, the Los Angeles Kings. And finally, Charlotte could see the first time that former University of Denver forward Jack Devine will play in the state since turning pro.

With Colorado playing two Central Division and their first Atlantic Division opponent, it will be an interesting season. The Eagles are still on the hunt for a new head coach, but that could come in the next couple of weeks. Colorado will need to bulk up its lineup, which it has already started to do. Without a head coach, it is hard to say how they will do, but the bar will always be set high.
