After a resounding 9–1 victory against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night, the Avalanche arrive in Vancouver for a Sunday-night battle against the Canucks. This will be the first time that the Avalanche will battle against former Avalanche defenseman Adam Foote as a head Coach. The Avalanche called up Danil Gushchin from the Eagles to fill out the fourth line. Over the previous four seasons, Guschin competed in 18 games for the San Jose Sharks, achieving two goals and three assists. This year, he has nine goals with the Eagles and is the AHL’s top scorer. Mackenzie Blackwood will probably start in net.

Colorado Avalanche (9–1–5)
The Avalanche are coming off a spectacular 9–1 victory in Edmonton. Nathan MacKinnon had a four-point night, scoring two goals and two assists. Cale Makar, Parker Kelly, and Jack Drury also had two goals apiece. Devon Toews had three assists. Scott Wedgewood saved 23 of 24 shots for the win. Gabe Landeskog also scored a goal only to once again have it overturned on an offside review. On the bright side, MacKinnon’s second goal was a true thing of beauty.
