The Colorado Avalanche will hit the road for Game Three against the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday. With a two-game lead, the Avalanche could take a lead that is almost impossible to come back from. If Scott Wedgewood continues to play like he has in the previous two games, it could be a rough night for the Kings. Fans will need to look out for Colorado’s top-six to be primed and ready to explode. Artturi Lehkonen is the only player for the Avs after two games to be in the top five for scoring on the team with one goal. The rest are waiting for the right time to pounce on the Kings.
Colorado Avalanche (2–0)
The Avalanche had to play the King’s game on Tuesday night in order to gain the overtime win. With zero success on three power plays, Colorado required maximizing their even-strength time. Gabriel Landeskog pulled the team out of the hole late in the game with the tying goal. But it was Nic Roy who played the hero of the game with the overtime-winning goal. Wedgewood once again stepped up for the Avalanche, stopping a penalty shot in the second period on top of 24 shots on net. What killed Colorado was their penalty kill, as they allowed another goal by Artemi Panarin on the power play.

Los Angeles Kings (0–2)
Los Angeles played the game the way it wanted to. They pushed it to overtime, hoping the Avalanche would fizzle out. Unfortunately, this change evened the strength for the Kings, and experts expected them to score less than one goal the entire game (.89). Panarin’s the sole scorer for the team, with his two goals occurring on power plays.
