Why the event is important

This tournament can be an important event for the organization. Last season it gave the new head coach Mark Letuestu to get used to the Avalanche systems. It can also give players another chance to stand out after Development Camp. Gavin Brindley took the opportunity last year and pushed himself onto the NHL roster using the Rookie Showcase as his proving ground. Sean Behrens used the event as a chance to test his knee after a year away with an injury. If some players are going to be bubble players, it is their last chance to prove they can make it.

Rosters and streaming information have yet to be announced, but will be at a later time.
