The Colorado Avalanche have signed three more depth players to two-way contracts: forwards Vinnie Hinostroza and Adam Beckman, both for two years, and defenseman Domenick Fensore for one year. All three are likely to spend some time in Loveland with the Eagles.
Vinnie Hinostroza (F)
Hinostroza was a 2012 sixth-round pick by the Chicago Blackhawks. The 32-year-old forward is five feet ten inches tall and weighs 178 pounds. He played two years with the University of Notre Dame before going pro in 2015. Since then, he’s bounced around the league, playing on eight different NHL teams for a combined 477 games, plus an additional 188 games in the AHL. While in the NHL, he’s accrued 65 regular-season goals and 114 assists.

Hinostroza is known for his speed, his versatility in the lineup, and his ability to create turnovers on the forecheck. He’s played both bottom-six and (occasionally) top-six roles, and is an excellent penalty killer. Hinostroza’s cap hit is as follows:
Yr 1: $850K NHL, $500K Minors, $600K Guaranteed
Yr 2: $900K/$550K/$600K
Adam Beckman (F)
Beckman was drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the third-round of the 2019 draft. He’s 25-years-old, stands six foot two inches tall, and weighs in at 192 pounds. He played with the WHL Spokane Chiefs before going pro in 2021. The Canadian spent three seasons with the Wild, playing in 181 AHL games. During that time, he scored 57 goals and 51 assists and wore an ‘A’ for the Iowa Wild for the 2023–24 season. He also played in 23 NHL games for Minnesota but didn’t record any goals. He split the 2024–25 season between the Utica Comets (NJD) and Bridgeport Islanders (NYI), and he remained with the Islanders through the 2025–26 season. That year, he was the team’s top goal-scorer with thirty.

The offensive hockey IQ and accurate, quick-release shot are well-known aspects of Beckman. He’s a serious threat on the ice, especially on the power play. He’s also a responsible two-way player who isn’t afraid to battle along the boards. HIs cap hit is $850k for NHL and $475k when in the minors, with a guarantee of $500k.
Domenick Fensore (D)
Fensore was a 2019 third-round pick of the Carolina Hurricanes. The 24-year-old left-handed defenseman is five feet nine inches tall and weighs 174 pounds. He played at Boston University and was captain in his senior year. Since going pro in 2023, he’s played nine games in the ECHL for the Norfolk Admirals (CAR), 166 in the AHL for the Chicago Wolves (CAR), and three in the NHL with the Hurricanes. He’s amassed 21 regular-season goals and 62 assists in his time with the Wolves. He has an additional four goals and two assists in last year’s playoffs, including one goal against the Colorado Eagles in game three of the Western Conference Finals.

Fensore is known for his speed and elite skating. Because of his smaller stature, he relies on skill and his excellent ability to read the ice rather the physicality. His strong positional awareness allows him to break up plays before they develop. In other words, he’s the Eagles’ replacement for Jack Ahcan, who signed with Nashville earlier on Wednesday. Fensore’s cap hit is $850K for the NHL, $250K for minors, with a guarantee of $275K.
