Over the last couple of days, Gabriel Landeskog has been playing games for the AHL Colorado Eagles during a conditioning loan. During that time, he has also been filming for his docuseries, “A Clean Sheet”.

The next episode would certainly have a movie theme to it. The last that Landeskog suited up for the Colorado Avalanche was over 1,000 days ago. He has had several surgeries on his right knee and several setbacks.

What is it?

Landeskog has been showing the world his recovery process in a five episode series and pouring his heart out. Or so everyone thought. The production company, Fresh Tape Media, has just updated their website to show a SIXTH episode with an “to be determined” date.

“I guess I wanted to show the human side of it,” Landeskog said when talking about why he made the docuseries.

He can be with the Eagles for only six days or three games, whichever comes first. The NHL playoffs will begin on April 19th. Landeskog will wrap up the conditioning loan on Wednesday, April 16th, possibly joining the Avs then. During those last days, the Eagles played the Henderson Silver Knights (VGK).

Landeskog started at left wing and received an enormous applause from the crowd when his name was called.

“I wanted to show the human side of it,” Landeskog said. “The tough times, the identity, identity questions that pop up. Yeah, everything that’s put the test when you’re going through a hard time, and I think people can relate to that.”

How will it end?

Saturday night’s game two witnessed an impressive feat: a goal and an assist within three minutes. It tied the game and pushed the Eagles to overtime and a shootout win.

His Eagles’ success these past two days likely means game footage will appear in episode six. And the greater question remains, will Landeskog announce his return on the last episode?
