Tobias Tvrznik
Tvrznik is another goaltender drafted by the Avalanche. He is listed at 6-foot-4 and catches with his right from the Czech Republic.
The 18-year-old moved to the WHL last season, playing with the Wenatchee Wild. In 39 games, he had a record of 16-18-4, with one shutout, a goals-against average of 3.10, and a save percentage of .913, the third highest in the league.

Tvrznik was undrafted last season but picked up this season by the Avalanche and joins a hefty goaltending pool. He’s listed as a player who is smart and technique-driven.
He joins a goaltending pool including the likes of Ilya Nabokov, Trent Miner, and Magnus Chrona. He has committed to Ohio State University for the 2027-28 season, where he’ll continue developing at the NCAA level.
Axel Elofsson
Elofsson fits the Avalanche mantra to a tee: an undersized playmaking defender who can create chances. Eloffson is listed as 5-foot-10 coming out of Sweden.
He spent last season playing for Orebro HK, and the team’s respective U18 and U20 sides as well. Most of his playing time came with the U20 team, where he had 32 games with nine goals and 32 assists.
Axel Elofsson is viewed as R2 pick, but he might be the best offensive D-man in the draft after Villeneuve.

Elofsson also played in 14 playoff games for Orebro, where he produced two goals and nine assists. He played six games with the big club, being held scoreless, and recorded one assist in one game with the U18 team.
Besides playing with his team, he also represented Sweden nicely on the international stage. With the U18 Sweden team, he played in 27 games, with five goals and 25 assists.
Both will be keen to get going in burgundy and blue and join Egor Shilov and Beckett Hamilton, who were drafted earlier in the draft. Colorado still holds two picks in the fifth round and three more in the seventh to use by the end of the day on Saturday.
